How It Works
What is Speed Dating?
Speed dating is a guaranteed way for singles to meet and “date” at least 8 -10 people in one night. You are given approximately 5 to 10 minutes (depending on the size of the group) before deciding if you want to meet them again. It will normally be organized at a local pub or cafe with an equal number of single ladies and men.
This format was originally invented by Los Angeles - Rabbi Yaacov Deyo, for marriage-focused young Jewish singles to meet. Since then, it has spread throughout the world as a revolutionary way for busy single people to meet each other without any of the stigma associated with traditional dating agencies. As advised by Rabbi, you should not consider dating as the “beginning” of a relationship. Dating is just that – dating. So, are you game? (return to top)
How does our Speed-Dating work?
When you arrive, the host will greet you and guide you through the process. Please bring your eConfirmation for verification. |
You will be given a Scorecard, where you will indicate either your email address or contact number you want your matches to have. You can provide both if you wish and your matches will have 2 different ways to get in touch. |
Once everyone is gathered, the host will call everyone to their tables and commence the first Speed Dating. To keep the conversation comfortable and safe for everyone, participants are DISCOURAGED to ask anyone for his or her age, job, and contact number or for a date. |
You will have about 5 to 10 minutes (depending on the size of the group) with each person at a table for two. Just enough time to see if any sparks fly! |
You will be given a few moments to check “yes” or “no” on your scorecard after each date to let us know whom you would like to see again. |
The host will advise you to rotate tables every 5 to 10 minutes (depending on the size of the group) and meet someone new. Throughout the event, the ladies remain seated while the men will swap places by moving one table up. |
In addition to the “mini” dates, participants can meet everyone else at the event during intermission. |
At the end of the night, hand in your Scorecards to the friendly host, so we can match up the names of those who checked “yes”.
We will email you with the contract information for your matches within the next 24 hours. What happens after that is up to you! |

What is Dinner-after-work?
If Speed Dating is too fast and furious for you, treat yourself to a fun night out with a group of ladies and gentlemen of the same interests or profession and sink your teeth into some of the best food in town, you may have not savored before. You never know if a superb surprise await you on the restaurant’s menu and hopefully the person sitting opposite you can offer some advice on what to have for dessert! (return to top)
