What are the requirements for signing up?
Yes, you need to be SINGLE; i.e. not married yet or divorced and at least 21 years old.

Why do you insist on a profile?
We consider your age, your personality profile and your preference for the age group of people you like to date.

Will my personal information be sold to other organizations?
All personal information is strictly confidential and will never be sold or given to third parties under any condition unless required by law.

How do I register for the event?
You need to book our events in advance as we need to ensure that the event is not oversubscribed. Select the event base on your age group and interest then click Registration.

How soon after registering will I receive the invitation?
Once your payment has been processed, you will receive a payment and event confirmation. A second event reminder will be sent to you 3 days before the event.

Is it enough for just 5 to 10 minutes?
90% of people get an impression of someone within 10 to 90 seconds. In fact, 5 to 10 minutes is sufficient to get a ‘feel’ whether you want to see the person again.

How many dates will I get an event?
A minimum of 8 mini “dates” for Speed Dating. For other single events, it will vary base on the event theme and venue.

Do you do any kind of background checks on participants?
No. You should treat a Mix-and-Mingle.sg events exactly the same way you would treat an evening at a dance or any other social event. Just remember – use the same safe dating practices as you would when meeting anyone for the first time.

What kind of people participates in Mix-and-Mingle.sg?
Typically our clients are young professionals that simply do not have the time to meet as many new people as they would like.

When are the events held?
All events are held at cozy pubs, cafés or restaurants which can be indoors or outdoors. For details, check our website regularly or join our Free Membership and receive first-hand events notification via our eNewsletter.

What happens if it is poor weather on the event date or the event is cancelled/postponed due to poor response?
For any of the above reasons, notification of a cancelled / postponed event will be posted on our website, via email and sms. An effort will be made to notify you, but it is your responsibility to check.

If you are unable to attend on the rescheduled date, you will receive full refund. However, you must notify us 7 days before the rescheduled event.

What time do the events begin and end?
Registration will start at 7pm. Once everyone gathers, we shall start at about 7.15pm. Generally, the event will end about 9.30pm.

Are there always an equal number of women and men at these events?
We aim to ensure equal numbers but it would be beyond our control, if a participant chooses to attend to other urgent matters in the last minute (which is hard to predict).

What is the age range?
We arrange speed dating for young single professionals from age 21 to 42 years old. All our events are targeted at specific age groups or interests. Please look out for events that cater to your age range. If you are well outside the specified age range however, it might be difficult to get suitable matches.

What is the cost to attend an event?
This varies from venue to venue, but we are confident that it will be inexpensive compared to joining a matching making agency. For details on costs, click Events.

Can I attend more than once?
Yes, sometimes finding that “special” someone can be a numbers game and we would like to have you back.

Will I meet the same people if I attend more than once?
We will minimize the chances, but you still may meet one or two people that you have seen before. However, the majority will be new faces.

What should I talk about?
The thing we would rather you keep in mind are what you cannot ask your “dates”. Please refer to The Rules. During the events, the host will provide you a list of pressure-free questions.

Are there any techniques that work best to bring about a match with somebody?
Do not try to mislead your dates. Attend the events with no expectations of finding the “one”. Leave your baggage at home and act as though you have nothing to lose. You will find that matches happen if you just keep the right attitude and smile.

What happens after the event?
Participants are encouraged to stay and mingle around.

How do I know my payment is secure?
Our booking procedure is fully secured and uses a very complex 128 bit fully encrypted SSL server. Kindly refer to our Privacy Statement for further information.

What payment cards do you accept?
We accept Visa and Master card only via PayPal.

What if I do not have a credit card?
We are sorry that we are only facilitating online payments.

Can I pay at the door?
We are sorry that this would not be allowed, as we need to plan ahead to coordinate an equal ratio of ladies and gentlemen before an event.

When will I be charged?
Charging will take place upon signing up, where vacancies are still available.

What if I have to cancel?
We are sorry that we are not able to accept cancellations or make a refund. Your no-show will result in your date seating alone and result our event with unequal ration of men and ladies. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for more details.

Match Questions & Answers
What is a match?
It is a match or “bingo” when someone you have ticked has also ticked you on the scorecard. This indicates that both parties have agreed to “follow-up”.

How soon after the event will I receive my matches?
The host will email you within 24 hours after an event.

How will my matches contact me?
Based on the preference you have indicated on the scorecard – i.e. either by phone or email.

What if I sms, email or call someone and they did not reply?
Why not try one more time? Maybe he/she is outstationed or do not have the habit of checking their emails everyday.

What if I do not get any matches?
Do not give up! Join more Mix-and-Mingle.sg events.
